The focus timer.
You pick how long you focus and how long you break. Get Bouncy sits in your Mac's menu bar and stays out of the way, whatever app you're working in. When the block ends, your break starts with a game.
Your body controls the game
Get Bouncy is a playful way to recharge between focus sessions.Punch.Dodge.Squat.Lean.Reset your brain. Wake up your body. Then dive back into deep work.
Finish your workday sharp. Ready for life, not the couch.
You’ve been at the computer for over an hour, polishing a landing page or preparing your next big presentation. Your brain is fried and your back is aching. Time for a break.
You finish your fourth coffee of the day, probably not the last, and check your phone. Your brother sent a funny cat video. You watch it. Then another. Then another. Twenty minutes gone in a blink, and you still haven’t moved from the chair.
Time to get back to work, with the same stiff shoulders and the same half-loaded brain you had before you stopped. By 3pm the fog is thicker and every task takes twice the runway it should.
6pm. You close the laptop. Too tired to meet your friends for that drink, so you cancel. The evening goes to the couch by default, not by choice.
You’re not doing anything wrong. You take your breaks. They just never give you anything back. What if they did?
Then it looks like this. A timer for the work. Play for the break.
You start it because it's fun. You come back to work relaxed, awake, and ready.
Get Bouncy reads your movement to run the round, and that happens on your machine. No video is uploaded, recorded, or stored. Close it and there’s no trace.
Read the privacy policyPose detection runs where you are, in the desktop app or in your browser. No frames are sent to a server.
Your webcam feed never leaves your computer. We can't see it, store it, or rewind it.
Each frame is read for pose detection, then discarded. Nothing is kept, nothing is recorded.
Whatever your first squat looks like, it stays between you and the room.
Rounds are short. Some end on a timer, some end when you do. Your webcam reads your movement the whole way, so pick whichever one your body is asking for.
Targets fly at you from every angle and you smash them with your fists and your knees. Combos stack, the score climbs, and your shoulders remember they exist.
A side-scrolling run played with your body. Squat under the low ones. Punch through the next wave. Headbutt, kick, jumping jacks. Four modes, so you can take the full circuit or pick the one you're in the mood for: full body, legs, strikes, jumps.
Jump, dodge, squat. Dodge the obstacles, collect the points, run as far as you can. It ends when you do, which is usually two seconds after you swore you were done.
You are the paddle. Lean to move, squat to charge the serve, hands up to smash it back. The wall keeps coming, and so do you.

Every round you finish earns a score and XP. Every Monday the boards reset, so they belong to whoever's playing this week, not whoever started a year ago.

From the founder
I used to spend hours at my computer. When I finally took a break, I usually stayed in the same chair. I’d doomscroll through social media, read the news, check my phone, answer a few messages, then go straight back to work.
I never felt rested afterward. If anything, I felt more tired. It was harder to focus, ideas came more slowly, and by the time I closed my laptop I had nothing left in the tank.
Deep focus is how I do my best work. My physical and mental health matter just as much. The way I was taking breaks was working against both.
What I needed was a better rhythm. Time for deep focus blocks, then time to get out of the chair, move, and give my mind something completely different to do. A fun way to recharge.
That’s why I built Get Bouncy. You choose how long you want to focus and how long your break should last. The app stays out of the way while you work. When the break starts, you control a game with your body.
For me, a good workday has room for focused work and real breaks. I want to get things done and still have energy for the evening when I close my laptop.
